TikTok is introducing direct posting from Premiere Pro

In what is a potential gamechanger for content creators, TikTok is rolling out support for direct posting from apps including Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and Twitch. Huge.

The Direct Post API, as they are calling it, will reduce the steps necessary between editing and publishing - integrating the same posting settings from within the app to streamline the process. The Upload API works in tandem with that, allowing users to draft content from their editing apps ready to be edited further and published from within the TikTok app itself.

The best bit? Filling your phone with videos to post will be no more, and if you listen carefully you’ll be able to hear the joy of social media managers across the land.

The power of the meme (and how Netflix has nailed it)

Netflix dropped their latest in a long list of documentaries last week (yep, another one) with the release of ‘Beckham’, the mini-series which appeals to so many people on so many levels.

Whilst this type of content may previously have only been interesting to a football-enthusiast-audience, ‘Beckham’ gets involved with the virality (definitely a word) of meme culture to help propel the show into mainstream conscience.

If you don’t recognise this, I won’t spoil the show for you, but it has done wonders for Netflix - and is why my wife managed to sneakily watch the documentary before I could.

They released the clip as digestible content on their social channels and immediately it was everywhere; specifically going viral on both TikTok and X, whilst generating conversations about the documentary alongside its short shelf-life as a meme.
